Here is the fix that worked for me regarding the shared MSAccess database locked file issue. Office Click2Run Version. After completed, verify the version number has reverted to the version Dec 3rd listed under the Account settings of the MSOffice application. Subsequently when the first user closes and reopens the database, no lock file is created at least not in the same location as the database , yet the second user still CANNOT open the database - even though no lock file exists.
